Outstanding Service and Support I woke up this morning to zero water pressure and expected the worst. I called their service line, and instead of immediately scheduling a costly visit, the technician patiently walked me through a step‑by‑step troubleshooting process. With his guidance, I was able to isolate the issue and fix it myself — no service call needed. It’s rare to find a company that first ensures that the correct problem is identified before scheduling a service call. His professionalism and willingness to help saved me time, money, and a lot of stress. I couldn’t be more impressed. Highly recommended.

Was having pressure issues. They walked me through some things on the phone and then came out on Saturday. -1 degree outside. Found a broken fitting by the well pump. Very reasonably priced and didn’t try to sell me a new pump that I didn’t need. I would call them anytime I have an issue. Thanks TLC

Highly recommend. They were able to troubleshoot the problem with the well over the phone on our initial call and patiently waited as I eventually did a temporary fix. On the service call to install a new tank and switch, they went above and beyond with an electrical issue, and even helped with a whole house water filter.

Very impressed with TLC Well Service. They came out on a Sunday in freezing cold temperatures to replace my well pump. Very professional and personable. Went above and beyond expectations to solve my problem. They continued checking and exceeded expectations days after the job was done. I highly recommend TLC for any well service you need.

When an inspection makes sense

You do not need to wait for a no-water emergency

Schedule an inspection when you want a clearer picture of the system or when the water and equipment begin acting differently.

Your annual checkup is due

A routine yearly inspection can identify wear and performance changes before they interrupt the home’s water.

You are buying or selling a home

A focused well inspection helps clarify the condition of the equipment and the next steps before a property changes hands.

Pressure has become weak or uneven

Pressure changes can involve the pump, tank, switch, filters, water lines, or the well itself.

The pump cycles or sounds different

Frequent starts, long run times, clicking, humming, or new noise are reasons to check the system.

Water quality has changed

Cloudiness, sediment, staining, odor, or taste changes may call for both a system inspection and water testing.

The well was flooded or repaired

Flooding, excavation, pump work, or repairs can create a need for follow-up inspection, disinfection, or water testing.

A complete look at the private well system

A well inspection and a water test answer different questions

The inspection looks at the physical system and how it performs. Water testing looks at the quality of the water. Many homeowners benefit from both.

TLC checks the visible equipment, pump and pressure behavior, wellhead condition, controls, connections, and other signs of trouble. We explain what appears to be working properly, what needs attention, and whether repair or additional testing should come next.

Concerned about bacteria, nitrate, minerals, odor, or another water-quality issue? Visit our well water testing page to understand the testing process.

Well inspection questions

Helpful answers before you schedule

How often should a private well be inspected?

Schedule a professional well check at least once a year and sooner if pressure, cycling, sound, water appearance, taste, or odor changes.

Is a well inspection the same as water testing?

No. An inspection checks the physical equipment and system performance. Water testing evaluates the water itself for the items included in the selected laboratory panel.

Should I have a well inspected before buying a home?

Yes. A private well has specialized equipment and water-quality questions that a general home inspection may not fully address.

What happens if TLC finds a problem?

TLC explains what was found, how urgent it is, and the repair, maintenance, testing, or monitoring options that make sense.

Should I schedule sooner if my water changes?

Yes. Weak pressure, rapid cycling, unusual sounds, leaking, discoloration, sediment, odor, or taste changes should not wait for the next annual check.

Can TLC inspect the pump and pressure tank too?

Yes. Pump operation, pressure behavior, the tank, switch, gauge, controls, and visible connections are important parts of the well system review.
