Dependable pump help for your home’s water supply

Well Pump Service & Repair in Northern Indiana

When the pump will not start, runs too long, cycles too often, or cannot keep steady pressure, TLC checks the pump and the equipment that controls it. You get a clear diagnosis before repair or replacement is recommended.

Do not ignore rapid cycling, long run times, or repeated breaker trips

A pump that starts every few seconds, runs without reaching pressure, or repeatedly trips a breaker may be under serious strain. Stop repeated resets and schedule service before a smaller problem damages more equipment.

Outstanding Service and Support I woke up this morning to zero water pressure and expected the worst. I called their service line, and instead of immediately scheduling a costly visit, the technician patiently walked me through a step‑by‑step troubleshooting process. With his guidance, I was able to isolate the issue and fix it myself — no service call needed. It’s rare to find a company that first ensures that the correct problem is identified before scheduling a service call. His professionalism and willingness to help saved me time, money, and a lot of stress. I couldn’t be more impressed. Highly recommended.

Was having pressure issues. They walked me through some things on the phone and then came out on Saturday. -1 degree outside. Found a broken fitting by the well pump. Very reasonably priced and didn’t try to sell me a new pump that I didn’t need. I would call them anytime I have an issue. Thanks TLC

Highly recommend. They were able to troubleshoot the problem with the well over the phone on our initial call and patiently waited as I eventually did a temporary fix. On the service call to install a new tank and switch, they went above and beyond with an electrical issue, and even helped with a whole house water filter.

Very impressed with TLC Well Service. They came out on a Sunday in freezing cold temperatures to replace my well pump. Very professional and personable. Went above and beyond expectations to solve my problem. They continued checking and exceeded expectations days after the job was done. I highly recommend TLC for any well service you need.

Signs the pump system needs service

Pump problems often show up at the faucet first

The symptom may come from the pump or from the tank, switch, controls, wiring, line, or well. TLC checks the connected parts before making a recommendation.

The home has no water

The pump may have stopped, but power, controls, pressure equipment, a water line, or the well may also be involved.

Pressure fades during use

A pump that cannot keep up may be worn, restricted, improperly controlled, or affected by another system problem.

The pump starts every few seconds

Short cycling adds wear and often points to the pressure tank, switch settings, a leak, or another control issue.

The pump runs too long

A leak, weak pump, low-producing well, clogged component, or pressure problem may keep the pump from shutting off.

A breaker trips or the pump hums

Stop repeated resets. The motor, wiring, control box, capacitor, or pump may need professional testing.

Faucets spit air or surge

Recurring air can involve the pump, drop pipe, underground line, changing water level, or recent system work.

Test the system before replacing the pump

A pump cannot work correctly when another part is causing the problem

The pressure tank, switch, control box, wiring, piping, check valves, filters, and well conditions all affect how the pump starts, runs, and delivers water.

TLC checks how the system builds and holds pressure, how often the pump cycles, whether controls are responding properly, and whether the pump can meet normal household demand. If repair is practical, we explain it. If replacement makes more sense, we help choose the right pump for the system.

If testing shows that the problem extends beyond the pump, TLC can also provide complete residential well repair and water tank service.

What to expect

Pump service based on testing, not assumptions

  1. Describe the pump behavior

Tell TLC whether the water stopped, pressure changed, the pump started cycling, or a breaker began tripping.

  2. We test the connected equipment

TLC checks power, controls, the switch, tank, piping, pump operation, and water delivery as needed.

  3. Review repair or replacement

You receive a plain-language explanation of what failed and the option that fits the condition of the system.

  4. TLC completes and checks the work

We perform the approved service and confirm normal pressure, cycling, and water delivery.

Well pump questions

Helpful answers before pump service

How do I know whether the pump has failed?

No water, long run times, poor pressure, humming, breaker trips, or unusual cycling can involve the pump, but TLC tests the connected equipment before confirming the cause.

Can a well pump be repaired instead of replaced?

Sometimes. The best option depends on the failed component, pump condition, age, installation, and the cause of the problem.

How long does a well pump last?

Service life varies with pump quality, well conditions, water use, cycling, system setup, and maintenance. Changes in performance are more useful than age alone when deciding what to do.

Why does my pump turn on and off so often?

Rapid cycling commonly involves the pressure tank, switch settings, a leak, or another pressure-system problem. It should be corrected to reduce pump wear.

Should I reset a tripped pump breaker?

A single reset may confirm that a problem exists, but do not keep resetting a breaker that trips again. Stop and call for service.

Does TLC provide emergency pump service?

Yes. Same-day and 24/7 help is available for urgent no-water problems, pump failures, repeated breaker trips, and serious system leaks.
