Outstanding Service and Support I woke up this morning to zero water pressure and expected the worst. I called their service line, and instead of immediately scheduling a costly visit, the technician patiently walked me through a step‑by‑step troubleshooting process. With his guidance, I was able to isolate the issue and fix it myself — no service call needed. It’s rare to find a company that first ensures that the correct problem is identified before scheduling a service call. His professionalism and willingness to help saved me time, money, and a lot of stress. I couldn’t be more impressed. Highly recommended.

Was having pressure issues. They walked me through some things on the phone and then came out on Saturday. -1 degree outside. Found a broken fitting by the well pump. Very reasonably priced and didn’t try to sell me a new pump that I didn’t need. I would call them anytime I have an issue. Thanks TLC

Highly recommend. They were able to troubleshoot the problem with the well over the phone on our initial call and patiently waited as I eventually did a temporary fix. On the service call to install a new tank and switch, they went above and beyond with an electrical issue, and even helped with a whole house water filter.

Very impressed with TLC Well Service. They came out on a Sunday in freezing cold temperatures to replace my well pump. Very professional and personable. Went above and beyond expectations to solve my problem. They continued checking and exceeded expectations days after the job was done. I highly recommend TLC for any well service you need.

What to do first

A few safe checks can give TLC useful information

You do not need to diagnose or repair the system yourself. These quick observations can help confirm whether the problem affects the whole home.

  1. Check more than one fixture

Try hot and cold water at several faucets. If every fixture has lost water, the problem is more likely connected to the home’s main water or well system.

  2. Notice what happened before the outage

Think about pressure loss, sputtering air, pump noise, clicking, a power outage, recent flooding, or work near the well.

  3. Look for visible leaks from a safe distance

Check for water near the tank and visible piping or wet ground near the well. Stay away from wet or exposed electrical equipment.

  4. Call TLC and describe what you found

Do not repeatedly reset a breaker that trips again. Call TLC and share the symptoms so the system can be checked properly.

If water is spraying near electrical equipment, wiring is exposed, or you smell burning, keep clear of the area and do not touch the equipment.
Common causes

Why a private well may suddenly stop delivering water

Several parts of the system can create the same no-water symptom. That is why TLC checks the cause before recommending a pump or another major component.

Well pump failure

A worn, damaged, or failed pump may stop moving water or may no longer build enough pressure for the home.

Electrical or control problem

A breaker, wiring problem, control box, pressure switch, or related component may prevent the pump from operating normally.

Tank or pressure-system trouble

A failed tank or pressure component can cause severe pressure loss, abnormal cycling, or a system that cannot deliver water properly.

Broken fitting or water-line leak

A damaged fitting or underground line can release water before it reaches the home and prevent the system from building pressure.

Storm, flooding, or outside damage

Weather, power problems, flooding, excavation, or damage near the well may affect equipment, connections, or water delivery.

Well or supply problem

Changes at the well itself can reduce available flow. TLC checks system performance before deciding what work is needed.

How TLC helps

Fast service still starts with a real diagnosis

No water does not automatically mean you need a new pump. TLC checks the likely parts of the system, explains the failure, and recommends the repair that fits what was actually found.

The goal is to restore dependable water as quickly as practical without replacing equipment that is still working. When replacement is necessary, TLC explains why and what the new equipment needs to do for the home.

Emergency well help across Northern Indiana

TLC is based in South Bend and serves homeowners across St. Joseph, Elkhart, Marshall, La Porte, and Kosciusko counties. If you are near the edge of the service area and have no water, call to check availability.

No-water emergency questions

Clear answers when the water stops

Why did my private well suddenly stop producing water?

The cause may be the pump, electrical controls, pressure switch, tank, wiring, a broken fitting, an underground leak, or another well-system problem. Testing is needed to identify which part failed.

Does no water mean I automatically need a new pump?

No. Several components can create the same symptom. TLC checks the system before recommending pump replacement.

Should I keep resetting the pump breaker?

No. If the breaker trips again, stop resetting it. Repeated tripping may indicate an electrical or equipment problem that needs professional attention.

Does TLC provide emergency service after normal business hours?

Yes. TLC offers same-day and 24/7 emergency availability for urgent no-water, well, and pump problems.

What information should I share when I call?

Tell TLC whether every fixture is affected, when the water stopped, and whether you noticed pressure loss, sputtering, noise, leaks, breaker trips, a power outage, flooding, or recent work near the well.
