Call before repeated resets cause more damage

A dry home does not automatically mean the pump failed. The cause may be a switch, control, electrical connection, tank, pipe, fitting, pump, or the well. TLC checks the system before recommending replacement.

Outstanding Service and Support I woke up this morning to zero water pressure and expected the worst. I called their service line, and instead of immediately scheduling a costly visit, the technician patiently walked me through a step‑by‑step troubleshooting process. With his guidance, I was able to isolate the issue and fix it myself — no service call needed. It’s rare to find a company that first ensures that the correct problem is identified before scheduling a service call. His professionalism and willingness to help saved me time, money, and a lot of stress. I couldn’t be more impressed. Highly recommended.

Was having pressure issues. They walked me through some things on the phone and then came out on Saturday. -1 degree outside. Found a broken fitting by the well pump. Very reasonably priced and didn’t try to sell me a new pump that I didn’t need. I would call them anytime I have an issue. Thanks TLC

Highly recommend. They were able to troubleshoot the problem with the well over the phone on our initial call and patiently waited as I eventually did a temporary fix. On the service call to install a new tank and switch, they went above and beyond with an electrical issue, and even helped with a whole house water filter.

Very impressed with TLC Well Service. They came out on a Sunday in freezing cold temperatures to replace my well pump. Very professional and personable. Went above and beyond expectations to solve my problem. They continued checking and exceeded expectations days after the job was done. I highly recommend TLC for any well service you need.

When to call for well repair

Start with the change you notice at home

You do not need to identify the failed part. Tell TLC what changed, and we will trace the symptom through the connected well system.

No water anywhere

A power, control, switch, pump, tank, line, or well problem may have stopped water to the whole home.

Weak or uneven pressure

Pressure that drops, surges, or cannot keep up may involve several parts of the system.

The pump cycles too often

Rapid starts and stops add wear and can point to a tank, switch, leak, or pump concern.

A breaker trips or equipment hums

Repeated resets can cause more damage. The wiring, controls, motor, or pump should be checked.

Leaks or wet ground appear

Water near the tank, wellhead, fittings, or buried line can waste water and strain the system.

Air, grit, or discoloration appears

Sputtering, sediment, or a sudden water change can involve the well, pump, lines, or treatment equipment.

Diagnosis before replacement

The right well repair starts with the right cause

Private well problems overlap. A pressure complaint may begin at the tank, switch, pump, water line, filter, or well—not necessarily the first part someone suspects.

TLC asks what changed, checks the likely components, and explains the problem in plain language. That complete-system approach helps avoid replacing parts that are still working and keeps the repair focused on restoring dependable water.

If the whole home has no water, visit our 24/7 no-water emergency page or call right away.

Well repair questions

What homeowners want to know

Does no water always mean I need a new pump?

No. A complete outage can also come from a switch, control, electrical issue, tank, fitting, water line, or another problem. TLC checks the cause first.

Can TLC help with low water pressure?

Yes. TLC checks the pump, tank, switch, filters, lines, well performance, and other likely causes of weak or uneven pressure.

Should I keep resetting a tripped pump breaker?

No. If the breaker trips again, stop resetting it and call for service. Repeated attempts can create more damage or an electrical hazard.

Can a buried well line be repaired?

Many underground line and fitting problems can be located and repaired. TLC will explain what is accessible and what the repair requires.

Does TLC offer emergency well repair?

Yes. Same-day and 24/7 emergency service is available for urgent no-water problems, major leaks, pump failures, and serious pressure loss.

Can TLC inspect the system before it fails?

Yes. An annual or problem-focused inspection can catch wear, leaks, pressure concerns, and unusual pump behavior earlier.
